Membership
The Association has since been actively concerned with the setting-up of the various graduate courses now available in building conservation and has close links with those being run at the Architectural Association. Membership, now around 350, is by invitation and is open to those professionally engaged in work relating to the conservation of historic buildings and monuments. The Association aims to keep its members informed on all aspects of building conservation by providing a forum for meetings, lectures and discussions, and by arranging visits to buildings, works in progress and places of interest such as quarries and workshops. A series of talks is held annually in addition to visits and occasional study tours. Regional meetings and visits have also been organised by local convenors around the country. Members receive the ASCHB Newsletter and annual volumes of the Transactions of the organisation, in which are published papers given at meetings, reports on visits, and articles submitted by members. Individuals resident overseas, institutions and other bodies may subscribe to the Association and receive its regular publications. The annual subscription fee for both individual members and subscribers is £35.00. Forms for the invitation of new members or new subscribers may be obtained from the Membership Secretary at the address given on the contact page.
